It's a nice day on the Light Trail, if you're alright with the dark world around it. Luckily, it's not as dangerous as it used to be. The dark creatures have begun to avoid the trail completely and have thus created a wide safe haven running along either side of the trail. Regular animals run through the bushes and branches and for a moment one might believe that they are actually walking through a normal forest.
And then some strange and evil animal's scream cuts through the air from the dark world beyond the path and all is silent for a while as everything worries that some dark creature has decided to venture outside the darkness.
And now a new danger, lurking in the trees are hunters and bandits of all kinds, hoping to catch a traveler lulled into a false sense of security. And then even more mysteries await in the forest...

Maya hummed to herself as she walked along the path, a bounce in her step. She was in her half-fox form, tired of not being able to see her tails when she moved them. They swished independently of each other as she walked. It was nice here on this trail, but she wanted to get out soon, she wasn't too fond of all the dangerous scents that she had forced herself to ignore.
Suddenly a little red fox popped out of the bushes, enticed out by the scent of one like him. He looked up at Mayu is fear as he realized she wasn't a normal fox but she smiled softly and kneeled down slowly, holding out a hand.
'It's alright, I'm not going to hurt you. I'm like you.' The fox looked at her in surprise as she spoke his language and sniffed her hand to find that she was telling the truth. He curiously walked up to her, looking at her human face and then to her fox ears and tails. She had more than usual, three. He sniffed them and jumped back as Mayu giggled.
'What's your name?' She stood, but he didn't feel afraid because she was nice.
'Rox.' He followed as she walked down the path again and told him her name. He liked this girl and wondered if she had any food to spare.
